Ronald Jenkees- Musical Genius

Ive been following Mr. Ronald Jenkees for a few years ,and i can honestly say  his stuff never gets old! Here what Ronald has to say about his journey in music.

“Musically speaking, I am completely self-taught but it was a slow process – I don’t think I was “born to play” or anything but stuck with it. My actual training consists of a few piano lessons (I was a terrible piano student quickly went back to just playing) and one year of marching band during my senior year of  high-school. The band director, “Mac”, was cool enough to just let me jam out my own parts on the keyboard. He tried his best to encourage me to read music but I always went back to playing by ear. Such a cool teacher and person – I’m thankful someone like him encouraged me so much despite me not having the “technical” capabilities he so wanted to teach.”

I first heard about Ronald on http://www.youtube.com/ronaldjenkees, CHECK HIM OUT! hes legit!! he posted a series of videos of himself playing his Korg Triton LE and/or Yamaha Motif XS8 keyboards, often accompanied by beats he composed using FL Studio. The performances were often improvised and are influenced primarily by hip-hop and jazz.

He released his first cd july of 2007 and has just released his second album, Disorganized Fun, which are both available on http://www.ronaldjenkees.com/mp3-store

And the best part about Ronald Jenkees is that if you dont have enough money to purchase his music.. (which is only 10.00 USD by the way) he doesnt mind if you “get it from a friend” or download it somehow.
